I have just spent part of the night and most of this day working to rid my blog of a malware trojan! Last night as I checked in on this site, I was suddenly redirected to pages that I had never seen before. I soon found out that I had a malware virus in the form of the JS:Illredir-B [Trj]

No matter what I tried it would continually redirect me to other sites that I had no desire to see.  Well, I began to research and found that this malware has been causing trouble in the blogoshpere for weeks now.  So to work I went.  I upgraded the new Wordpress 2.9.1, I went through my files one by one, and I finally found the virus embedded in my “theme” folder on the header.php.  I was certainly glad that I found it, but it took some work and a lot of time.

I just don’t understand why people feel the need to be malicious in their use of technology and the internet.  I guess that speaks to the natural depravity of man.  We are born into sin and we choose to sin on our own.  No wonder we need a Saviour!
